Ms. Ekaterina Pukhovich, President
Ms. Ekaterina Pukhovich is Global Guardian Solutions' founder and President. She is responsible for managing the company, formulating and executing long-term strategies, and for all interactions with clients, partners, and officials.
Ms. Pukhovich previously held an executive position in a Canadian-Russian Joint Venture in Nizhny-Novgorod, Russia and at the Business Center "The Royal Pavilion" (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), which provided consulting and coordinating services for Honorable Guests of the City Administration and business community ranging from Ambassadors and Russian and Foreign Ministers to businessmen and celebrities.
Mr. Doug Rhoades is a co-founder of Global Guardian Solutions, its Director General and the technical brain of the company.
Mr. Rhoades has over 25 years of experience in Engineering and Computer Science research and development and has fielded a wide variety of systems. He has been active in the Global Supply Chain environment for a number of those years. This work involves designing Customs Compliance solutions for a number of countries that encompass radiation sensing, high-energy scanning and cargo risk management along with a tailored risk management system for both seaports and airports. Mr. Rhoades has worked with many ‘niche’ providers in this space to assist them in getting solutions to production and sits on several technology advisory boards. Throughout his work in this area Mr. Rhoades has maintained a tight relationship with the shipping community to insure that solutions, while meeting the stringent security requirements, are architected to optimize the workflow within the supply chain.
Mr. Rhoades started his career at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) under funding from the National Science Foundation while completing his Bachelors degree in Mathematics/Computer Science at the University of Colorado. The Cray computer that Mr. Rhoades cut his teeth on at NCAR is now on display at the Smithsonian Institute, but that scientific programming did provide an excellent foundation for Mr. Rhoades' later work. He then accepted a position with General Dynamics Data Systems Division where he was a key member of their Expert Systems and Automatic Programming Systems department and published several treatises on developing systems via templates and generics.
Mr. Rhoades worked on several stereoscopic image-processing systems and then led a communication simulation effort for the Strategic Defense Initiative. Mr. Rhoades worked in varying level of responsibilities on Naval Combat Systems for Hughes Aircraft Company and Raytheon Systems Corporation including Technical Director for the ACDS Block 1 Aircraft Carrier Combat System. During this time Mr. Rhoades developed a real-time knowledge-base for the storage and retrieval of situational awareness doctrine and co-invented of a self-healing fiber-optic LAN still used within the NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System.
Mr. Iosif Pukhovich, Vice-President
Mr. Iosif Pukhovich, Vice-President of the company, has been working in the field of consulting for many years. He has participated in numerous projects aimed at executing coordination services in a number of countries. Mr. Pukhovich has extensive experience in dealings with high-ranking officials and in providing representation and coordination services during the years of the establishment of the free market economy in Russia and in several countries of the Former Soviet Block.
Mr. Iosif Pukhovich is a retired Soviet Army Colonel. In 1986, Mr. Pukhovich’s consulting services were required in the post-accident decontamination of the Chernobyl NPP disaster site. Beginning 1988, he was a successful businessman and consultant. As a result of Mr. Pukhovich’s activities, many friendships in the legislative branches and commercial entities in countries of the Former Soviet Block were established and have remained so to this day.
Back in 1990s, Mr. Pukhovich worked closely with the Administration of Nizhny Novgorod, the third largest city in Russia, on foreign commercial and investment projects. Acting as the President of the Auction House (“Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka”), he organized and held the first Russian transportation auctions.
In 1997, Mr. Iosif Pukhovich, received a Letter of Appreciation from the Director of Peace Corps, USA for his services “in the field of cooperation between Peace Corps and Nizhny Novgorod, between the United States of America and Russian Federation.”
For the past three years, Mr. Pukhovich has been deeply involved in commercial opportunities in the US and a number of other countries. He is well-versed in FSU politics and culture and often conducts consultations with officials in Eastern European countries.
